This class based series gives all the class winners a chance to go into a shoot-out, the first prize being four rallies in a Super 1600 machine. The end of season shoot-out is now scheduled to take place at the Mondello Rally-sprint event on November 1st, and only then will the lucky winners really realize what amazing prizes they will be able to utilize in 2010. “It’s important that we continue and finish the season with the Excel Championship properly” said Paul Roche. “I think the series picked up momentum in mid season, and we now have some very regular competitors. Our focus is also on the end of season shoot out, to get that right, and then we will decide what to do for the 2010 season.”

Just as a reminder of the prizes available, 1st Prize Super 1600 Drive for 4 rounds in 2010 or a Cash Prize of €6,000, 2nd Prize- Super 1600 Drive for 2 rounds in 2010 Or Cash Prize of €3,000, 3rd Prize Super 1600 Drive for 1 round in 2010 Or Cash Prize of €1,500, with 4th to 7th places all receiving a cash prize of €1,000. For any Irish rally competitor it’s a huge incentive, and possibly the most probably the largest prize fund in Irish rallying at the present moment.
