Historic Classes for Midland stages 2012

In this year’s Midland Moto Stages rally it is proposed to run 2 classes for historic rally cars:

    Class 17: historic cars up to 1981 including Porsches.
    Class 18: historic cars up to 1981 with engine over driven wheels excluding Porsches.
These cars will only be allowed period modifications with an optional tyre choice.
The historic section of the event will be running ahead of the main field on the first six stages of the event just an entry fee of 250 euro.

The first two prizes in our draw are in fact open to anybody who is 16 years of age or older and not 18 which is stated on the tickets.
Tickets are limited to 1000 in total and are priced at 20euro each.
First prize is a navigators seat alongside Rodney Wilton, Second is a co drivers seat with Vincent Collins, these are for the 2012 midland stages rally on Sunday the 25th march next, Tickets are on sale now from the following locations.

The draw will take place on St Patricks Day at 3pm at the Abbey Hotel Roscommon and winners will be notified straight away.
If required, arrangements are in place to secure a valid licence and all other necessary gear will be provided.
The club would like to thank both Rodney and Vincent for helping to make this possible.

New features to this year’s event (Including Draw to co-drive for Rodney Wilton) Updated

A tight loop of stages with minimal road mileage and very good stages, with service located very close to the end of stage 3/6.
· Entry fee of only 450 euro!! Same price as last year only with a test stage which increases mileage and brings a whole new experience to a clubman event.
· The junior event this year has many new features first being, they will start and run the first 6 stages of this years event rather than the last 5 of last years event so increased mileage for the junior event and entry fee of 250 euro is super value.
To top it off there is a free entry into the main field of next years Midland Moto Stages Rally 2013 for the winner of the junior category. This is the cheapest junior event to enter for the mileage and prize up for grabs.
· Our event is the 2nd round of the Midlands East Rally championship and the 3rd event of the Johnston Toy Town club championship.
· For all navigators and enthusiasts of the sport there will be a draw for a thrill of a lifetime with first prize to navigate with Rodney Wilton in his Millington powered MK2 Escort and 2nd prize is to navigate with local man Vincent Collins in his MK2 Escort this seat sure to be a enjoyable one. Tickets on sale shortly at an amazing price of 20euro. The prize includes application and fee for a navigation plus Rally suit and equipment hire. Over 16’s only - Its really an arrive and navigate prize. Tickets are limited to a thousand so be quick to get in to this amazing draw. Details how to buy tickets shortly.
