"The Committee of Galway Motor Club has reluctantly made the decision to cancel the Endurance Trial which was to take place on Sunday 18 September next, and which was to be a counting round of the Coffee Perfection Endurance Championship.

With only a handful of paid entries received a week before the event, it is uneconomic to continue incurring expense and putting additional work-load on our volunteers. We would like to thank those who had submitted completed entries.

We would like to thank our sponsor Stapleton Farm Supplies, RMAAC Offroad Centre, Motorsport Ireland, and the Clerk of the Course and his team, for a huge effort to date in putting the event in place. The low level of entries is disappointing. The club will engage with stakeholders with a view to a replacement event in the future, as superb locations are available in the locality, and enthusiastic support exists to put on a quality event."
